about me…

I am the husband of many years to an amazing Speech-Language Pathologist. Girl-dad to a college student studying to be a teacher and a HS senior looking at Veterinarian programs for next year.

I founded and run a non-profit called The Street Church Collective that brings the palpable love of Jesus to the ones who have gotten passed over… the homeless, the addicts, and the elderly.

Jesus is my hero, and surfing makes me happy.

…after they were dispersed they gossiped about all that Jesus had done as they travelled from town to town…

the gossip continues.

We all are a story… you and me…

My story has a hero in the middle of it and his name is Jesus. I need this space to tell the tale.

I never planned on being born into the story I was given. My chapters include the dark nights of mental illness, destructive addictions, and childhood trauma.

All along a deep undercurrent of something is wrong with the world that led me to a war zone in protest. How does one change the world?

Enter King Jesus, the Hero of my Story… I was living in my car one summer in Colorado one summer minding my own business when enters King Jesus, the hero of my story…My life has never been the same.

Life did not get easier… but it became full of wonder, love, and praise. From East Africa to Asia, under bridges with addicts and memory care with widows God has whispered in my ear “here I am”.

We set off on a grand adventure, me and Jesus, and I want to share our journey in the hopes that you might find his beauty too, or be encouraged to hang on a bit longer and not tap out. Our stories are connected.

Now I am the founder of a non-profit and a pastor to the left-behinds on the street and in suburban assisted living facilities… I want to share the beauty of what I have seen.
